SMTP2PIN Overview

SMTP2PIN is a Windows application that receives basic SMTP e-mail messages and forwards them as PIN messages to the RIM infrastructure for delivery to BlackBerry users.

SMTP2PIN acts as a store-and forward messaging gateway from standard SMTP e-mail to PIN messages, and provides the related management and administration functionality.

Typical uses include:

• Forward monitoring alerts when messaging system is down.
• Send PIN message to an email distribution list (PINblast™).
• Allow users of non-BlackBerry devices to send PIN messages (e.g. from desktop PC or iPhone).
